Looking for ways to tell your employees more about United Way agencies and services? United Way offers a variety of proven resources to help you plan, promote and conduct your United Way campaign. Campaign Video - United Way's locally produced video is available to show your employees. To reserve a copy for your company kickoff or event, contact your United Way Representative or call United Way's Campaign department at Ext. 26 or Ext. 29. Speakers Bureau - Want a great way to enhance your campaign? Invite a speaker to your rally or meeting. Impact Partners can speak on a variety of topics. They truly speak from the heart about United Way services and the impact they have in people's lives. Make arrangements at least 2 weeks in advance. Tours - Agency tours are one of the most effective and impactful activities you can use in your United Way campaign. Employees have the opportunity to see first-hand how their contributions are working to make the lives of others better and to renew their enthusiasm for the upcoming campaign. Many companies schedule tours of a variety of agencies so employees can choose which agency to visit. If it does not work to schedule tours for all employees as a whole, we strongly encourage you and your team of volunteers to tour an agency. Then you can share what you saw with your fellow workers. Agency Fairs - Many companies use agency fairs as a way to bring United Way services to their employees. Agencies can come to your place of business and set up displays with literature about their services. These work well when set up in high traffic areas, so lots of people can get a look at several agencies. Printed Materials - Campaign materials are available to all companies. These materials include: United Way Impact Guide, campaign posters, combined pledge cards/designation forms, NFL Schedules. Camera ready logo slicks are available to you to be used creatively in your printed materials or on bulletin boards. Your fellow employees - One of your best campaign resources may be there at your company-your fellow employees. If you can find someone at your company who has been helped by a United Way member agency and is willing to tell his or her story, either in employee briefings or in your company newsletter, you have an excellent way to demonstrate the benefits of a United Way contribution to fellow employees. |
