Twice as Nice - LifeShare and United Way team up!
As giving as you are, it's hard to believe that now you can be Twice as Nice. That's the theme for an exciting new partnership in community service between United Way of Greater Lorain County and LifeShare Community Blood Services.
As a leader in our organization, you embrace our core values which endeavor to foster the spirit of both volunteerism and inclusion. The United Way is happy to announce we will be further demonstrating our belief in those values by including LifeShare as a service partner through volunteer blood donation.
As a charity, LifeShare is the only source of blood to every hospital and cancer center in Lorain County. This is an opportunity for us to become partners in yet another powerful movement: the chance to directly save or sustain lives.
To that end, LifeShare and United Way of Greater Lorain County are jointly hosting two blood drives. In return for our support, LifeShare will be making a very generous financial gift to our organization based on the number of blood donations collected. As the leadership of our organization, our goal is to rally staff, family, friends, and supporters to give over 100 donations of blood. Each gift of blood to LifeShare is carefully separated into four products to save as many local lives as possible.
Blood Drive Location & Time:
Monday, November 28
Lorain YMCA (1121 Tower Road).
Tuesday, November 29
Lorain County Community College (College Center Mall, 1005 N. Abbe Rd) in Elyria.
Both events are from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
All donors will be treated to hot fresh pizza donated by Marcos Pizza or CiCi's Pizza.
LifeShare is taking appointments at www.lifesharedonor.com, but walk-in donors are always gratefully accepted.
Together, with LifeShare, we strive to make Lorain County a more caring community. And after all, this is "what matters." Please join me in rolling up your sleeves in support of this heartwarming project.
