United Way creates opportunities by bringing lasting, positive change to our region and focusing on the building blocks for a good life. That’s Community Impact. Locally, United Way of Greater Lorain County focuses on the community impact areas of: Strengthening Families, Nurturing Children & Youth, and Caring for Basic Needs.

Through generous donations from the 2007 Campaign, United Way will distribute $1,605,887 to fund 51 programs throughout Lorain County. Additionally, United Way will be allocating $73,050 to the 2-1-1 Information & Referral Program. And, $426,993 in donor designations and $5,000 in student directed allocations is being distributed to agencies by United Way.
